Who We Are
IIDF is governed by a Board of Trustees. Membership of the Board is drawn from across the world to reflect a world view on development issues. The operational modalities of the institute are managed by a management team comprising: Executive Director/ Team Leader, Director for Programs, Program Manager and Finance and Administration Manager, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Field Officers, Accounts Assistant, Admin Assistant, part time office hand and two security personnel.
The Institute is a culmination of a rural development transformative process dating back to 2001 with funding from WK Kellogg Foundation (WKKF) in the Manicaland Province of Zimbabwe. The WK Kellogg Foundation had been operating in Manicaland Province in the last decade focusing on knowledge and development work in the areas of economic empowerment, health and well being, leadership and skills development and civic enhancement.
The program was spearheaded by a Facilitation Unit (FU) as a lead implementer and manager for all WK Kellogg Foundation work in Manicaland Province of Zimbabwe., through a partnership between WK Kellogg Foundation, Africa University and Chimanimani Rural District Council. At the end of WKKF funding period, it was found necessary to continue with the work through a well defined operation strategy and improve on resource mobilization.
The (FU) transformed into the International Institute for Development Facilitation (IIDF) Trust which was eventually registered in 2009 (Registration No, MA0000812/09).
